Salle Hunt-Roeder is one of a handful of Fencing Clubs in the South West specialising in Sabre under the tutelage of our experienced and Qualified Coach, Dennis Hunt. 

The Club provides a friendly and welcoming training environment for all levels of fencer, ranging from complete beginners of all ages to members of the current British veterans team.  In addition to this, the Club has a fine pedigree of producing excellent fencers who have represented their country at European, Commonwealth, World and Olympic level in  junior, senior and veteran  competitions.

Club is open on Tuesday's and Friday's 8-10pm.  We are now looking for the next wave of new fencers to come along and take up the sport. Please contact one of the team to find out when the next beginners course is starting.

  • Next Beginners Course

    Beginners' courses are run at regular intervals - please ask about future dates. For those wishing to find out more about sabre fencing we offer  taster sessions  and are able to accommodate beginners at any time ,  including those for whom fencing can provide a more unusual activity as part of the Duke of Edinburgh's award scheme.

Made in Bristol TV - Subs Bench visited our club in 2017 to see what Fencing and our club is all about. They learnt that anyone at any age can take up the sport.
